Dude, you live in NYC, all the greatest trance city in the us. all the concerts come to you!

China Town Bus.... Usz around $20 round trip from Philly to NYC and I know the bus runs to D.C. as well. A show every weekend is do-able.

Totally awesome event! I'll have lots of the pics and videos I took up soon, most taken from where I was in the broadcast booth, and some from behind the stage before Tiesto went on. My friends and I also had a nice handheld HD video camera, so should be some other really good videos. It was a really great crowd, some of the pics I took were amazing just because of the sheer amount of people. Shame it had to end so early!

Just out of curiosity, those of you that got there early, what did you guys think of DJ Armando? He was one of the opening acts, big guy in a black tshirt. Played a lot of mainstream-ish stuff.

I enjoyed DJ Armando. I liked his track selection. A good mix of old and new. Never heard a techno remix of Toto - Africa haha. It was good. I think he also played Annie Lenox - Sweet Dreams. Another classic. I would go see him again if he was playing somewhere near. Is he from around DC?

Armando happens to be a very close friend of mine, glad to hear you liked him. He's actually the music director for XM's BPM (the dance channel), he lives real close by due to working at XM's headquarters in DC. He's getting more and more gigs in and around DC lately, and he does two one hour mix shows every weekday on BPM (6PM, 9PM). His style varies a lot, because he does have two one-hour live mixshows to do every day, and playing the same trancey tracks over and over again would get tiresome for the listeners (and him, too). :) This was basically the biggest thing he's done so far, being an opening act for Tiesto. My fear was the crowd, who was there mainly for Tiesto style dutch trance, wouldn't be all that into his style, but from the reactions I saw from everybody it seemed to go over well. :)

Actually, I just re-read that.. I don't think Armando played Sweet Dreams or Toto. :) He was the guy on the main stage (left) outdoors at around 5:00PM. Two songs that got a great crowd reaction so you might remember them were Daft Punk and a Guns n' Roses remix.

Who you callin a DUDE!?!:whip: ;) ;) ;) I know we get a lotta good acts but my primary reason for the trip would have been to see casey, not tiesto and ferry (I can see them here 3+ times a year) :( :(

phillykitty: I know, the problem is, is that I just took a 12 day trip and literally didnt have a dime til my paycheck this week. $20 was non-existent after paying the ridiculous rent here. :(

Sorry to hear that YankeeBaby. Shows do get expensive... I skipd a bunch of beach time this year bcuz I spent a lot of my time not to mention my money on trips to NYC. Yah rent is ridic that is the only thing keeping me from packn up and heading to NYC. But at least you have venues there..... try Philly still high rent and no clubs :o(. Can any big name Dj's come back this way?!?! Plus the one place we do have that spins trance and house is like a small cave. Someone Help!

Ferry or Tiesto?

Ferry closed with:

William Orbit - Barber's Adagio For Strings (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)

Tiesto:

Nenes & Pascal Feliz - Platinum (Original Mix)
Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Tiesto's ISOS Remix)

Fantastic Event. Both DJs were outstanding, my #1 highlight was when Tiesto dropped Bulldozer because he was just so damn into it. The combination of my love for that track and Tiesto's energy made it a very memorable moment. [/QUOTE

thank u, tiesto, actuall a complete t/l would be awesome
