:haha: I do the same. I just can't kill them (unless I'm in a dirty mood, then it's bug-spray time).
The long stick works so well! They climb on, and right off onto the tree outside the window! No harm done, and they eat my mosquitoes :D |
I just feel bad about killing things, it's stupid, but whatever. And besides, I hate the 'crunch' feeling beneath your foot when you squish a bug.
I used to use the big yogurt tubs :p Put the plastic container over the spider, slip a piece of paper between the tub and the floor, pick it up and slam the lid on.
If I was feeling like a dick I'd give the container to the cat for a bit, and let him bash away at the clear plastic lid trying to get at the spider :stongue: |

| lmao! this is classic. all because of a spider which you could've probably picked up and thrown lol. Gotta love arachnophobia. that's just bad luck |

I wouldn't recommend moving to Australia any time soon mate :p |
Yeah, but the ones here are actually worthy of people being scared of because they're highly aggressive, can kill people quite easily, really big and they just look damn cool!
Like this one!
He can bite through a sneaker AND your toenail!!! :haha:

Kill people easily my ass. I was bitten by a redback during highschool assembly a couple years ago, and all I got was a headache, a sore arm and an afternoon off school.
That thing is pretty freaky though. |

Redbacks still waste sick people, kids and stuff pretty well.

It's a Sydney funnelweb, you don't get them in Adelaide.

Yeah I lived in sydney till I was 6, I remember people always made a fuss about big spiders being found around the house because it could be a funnelweb (a bite from which would have completely kicked my 5yo ass, let alone my younger siblings). |

| lol. A funnelweb would kick your ass regardless of who or how old you are but as if most people will ever actually encounter one. They are mostly in the country or in heavily forested areas. You will rarely if ever come across one in the city. I've been here since 1999 and I'm yet to see one of the major deadly species, or even a snake and I have a ing jungle behind my house. |

Snakes aren't that bad. Our place in brisbane was loaded with them, my cat used to hunt them down, pick them up in his mouth and drag them, still alive, into the house :|
Of course if they bite you you're pretty much ed, if they're the right species (the wrong species?), but they don't have the 'wtf agghhhhhh get it away from me' factor spiders do. Snakes might be equally dangerous, but they're just not nearly as creepy. |
