Using Monitors After Prolonged Storage

My monitors are relatively new (about 6 months) and I broke them in well but they haven't been used in a few months. It was just too damn cold downstairs to produce and I've been busy as hell with uni so I've been reluctant to set them up.
Now that summer is coming around and uni will finish up in 2 months I'll get them out again and start preparing for a good summer of production. Anyway, I'm just wondering, due to the months of no use, will the cones have stiffened up again? I want to know so as to not push them too hard in the beginning. Obviously I'm not going to crank them as that's not really beneficial but I thought it was an interesting question :) |

Run some pink noise through them for an hour or two, that should wake them up, if you think that it's necessary... But other than dusting, i can't see anything else needed done :) |
