I just bought a Pioneer DJM-909 to replace the Behringer DJX-700 that I'd been using for about a year with my Denon DNS-3500s.
I don't know why I ever even bothered with other mixers. As far as a two-channel setup goes, this thing is obscene. Anyone else got one? I have a few questions about some of the FX and how you might use them. |

I've used one before, and when it's not broken, it's an absolute blast to use. I love how you can isolate each of the effects to a corresponding band range, such as using a 1/3 delay on the lows, delaying only the beat while leaving everything else intact, creating a breakbeat effect.
Plus, the fact that you can switch BETWEEN effects with just a simple touch allows you to chain together effects, something you can't do with a switch dial commonly found on other mixers with built in effects, a la DJM 600.
Careful though, too much tapping and abusing can lead to some screwy behaviour with the BPM Tap button...my friend's 909 displays the fader curve everytime the BPM Tap is pressed, essentially ing up the mixer.
Have fun with your new toy. |

| I've had my 909 for 3 years and loved it. And questions just ask. |
