Well, one time when I installed the evil virus called RealPlayer, many of my mp3 downloads got down as .mpga. Can that be the reason? Like Pete I got your tune like an .mp3

actually, I downloaded it as a mpeg thingy too, and uploaded it also that way....
it still plays normal in winamp tho
not a problem i hope? maybe it's becuz I did all that down/uploading at school where they have realplayer |

well that took a few hours,
how my Judjing was done.
Each track was listened to 4 times, twice with hi-fi speakers
and twice with head phones
each played at the same level with no eqing
5 of 6 - Exentia
where off to a good start with some nice rhythms which progress and build at a fast
pace, kick is solid with the off beat bassline. 1:20 mark all and all so far nothing out
of the ordinary just your typical trance build up. the brake is nice with the pads
but it think they should have had more power in them and set more in front of the mix.
the start of the main lead is ok. the build up back into the main theme is good but
the track needs to progress more after wards, I would have liked to see and new melody
line or a clone develop in the softer parts of the track. some parts see to just stop dead but the build ups
are well done, developing a much smother flow in this mix would have been better. your choice of
sound was ok, some nice sound FX which was at the right times.
Over all this is a quite a good Epic/Uplifting track but just to typical

Straight up I see your problem, the over all mix is about -10db of what it should be.
the start is simple but it has some different sounds of what would have been normaly
used whis is good. 1:08 sec the start of a real dark moving bassling and the dark vocal
set back in the mix is perfect. 2:30 is nice with some floating stabs and the way the kick
is broght back in is great. Around the 4:05 sec sees the end of the dark intro stab and the
begining of the main melody theme. it would have been better if they both over lapted
and having the main theme deveolp from underneth slowly building and develop as the intro
stab fades way. The bass line for the main theme sounds to mudy, a good EQing at the right
HZ should fix this. I liked the way the second comming of the old theme was introduced into the
mix finishing the track.
having the dark and light styles together in the one mix is a good ider, but the transactions
should been slower, just picture how the sun risers from the complete darkness to be
full strength in the middle of the day before returning back into the dark of night,
thats how this style should have been produced, slow but allways progressing
Over all the bigest upset on this one was the Mixxing and mastering.

well I loved the intro to get into the bassline, that little bass sound FX is good to.
there's some nice iders shining through this track, love the vocals, right up to the 3:30 mark
you have keep the listener intrested in whats happening next.
WOW the vocals sit perfect in mix, great job.
the main lead needs some more work, maybe try a new pattern. the brake beat reall shouldn't be
used in this track at all, it just destroys the beaty in the track and is just out of
place and yes is been done hundreds of times before, I think all brake beat should stay
away form Trance its not hypnotic at all. very good use of sounds here, you also done well
in creating a different overall sound from the typical Epic/Uplifting track.

Fatboy - Fast Encounter
good use of the 303 at the start, the sequence with the nice filter sweep sounds very
PRO. The main bass sits nice with good movent when the main theme is playing.
at the 1:08 the new stab that starts playing, the melody line I have heard it before in a old
EuroDance track, can't remember which one but, anyway I don't think it would have been to hard
to accidentally reproduce a small melody like that. Good to see you futher developing the melody
theme and adding onto it, the 303 that moves in and out of the mix are nice and reall develop
a upplifting afect.
a very dreamy brake half way into the track which gives a good change of character so you don't
get board with the same thing over and over again.
this track needs more percuive sounds to stand out of the mix, claps hi hats eveythinglike that needs to
be louder. Great sound FXs for the ending which I didn't expect, good stuff

Lightworks - This is a Dream (Original mix)
This track is more on the complex side of things with a large range of sounds.
you have a very nice touch in some areas going to great lengths to build and brake
down the elements creating a well laid out track. a lot of the sounds complement each other
in the mix. The Vocals need to stand out more but they do sute the track nicely.
altho this track has a typical trance build up it was quite creative with the different sounds
. some of them should have been left out like the "bep bep" which sounded like a watch tell me the
time. Also you have gone to great lenghts to build and move the track through different
phases but it all most stops dead at 5:50, I think a slow progressive brake down would
have suted that area.
the mix worked well but the mastering needs lots more work, its a quite mix so I think some
Compression and a little EQing maybe

nice aggressive start with some complex rhythms into the pads, the stoping and the starting
is abit on the different side of things. One thing that really stands is what you have done
with the melody using a piano type of arpeggio which was just right and the bassline
which is fat and warm. The bassline sounds PRO
almost. The new melody line thats added at the 3:00 shoud be set back futher in the mix
when the main melody line comes back into play cause what your trying to do is complement
the main melody. This dose happen if the main melody is the most doment sound. some of the sounds didden't realy
go in this style like the one at 3:54 is just abit to unsettling in such a nice track.
the mixing and mastering on this was great apart from the part I pointed out to you earlyer, its all
nicely set out, nice compression good amout of Reverb which was not over done in the main melody
theme. it sounds like you done a good job EQing seperating the different sounds.

Trancevision - The New Earth
first off good work on comming up with a original intro. WOW interesting bassline, it sounds like
this "The New Earth" is different to our world, abit on the dark side maybe. I like the way
you have used the bassline chord or note progressions not just in the main melody theme.
Good to see you trying new sounds compared to the normal Uplifting sounds. I must say this
is quite a creative mix you have hear and good to see you having the balls to give it ago.
I loved the pads with the backward sucking sounds, evey nicely done. One thing that I didn't
like that much was that Brake beat thing again, its not original and in my eyes has no place in
Trance. Just think if some one started puting raping in the brakes, Remenber just cause eveyone
els is doing it doesn't mean its right or good, its allways best to do your own thing.
The mix sounds dirty mudy like, some good EQing in the right place with some rightly use copression

quite a normal satart on this one, the bassline sounds strange, I would try and use a different
pattern, onec again theres that brake beat again. the way you used the piano with the pads don't
soung right and the piano sounds like its destorting to. alot of the sounds on this just aren't going
together. it quite Creative but I think you tryed to put to much of everthing together all at once,
complex tracks do work but this ones not siting together.
the mix is good nice and loud, maybe to loud there could be some over cliping.

Native Trancer - Addicted
nice aggressive bassline at the start sounds like one M.I.K.Es or one of Plastic Angles. I see theres
lots of creative iders in this track but for 10:18 I think its just to long for what was in the track
I like your Lead pattern but would have sounded better with a different lead sound. There's some real
nice filter sweeps in some areas which open up nice and slow, so far there this is the most
hypnotic track, nice and flowing in parts and that bassline is realy hypnotic. I didn't like
the jumps in pich on the bassline at the end of the track, a more longer note progression
was need in that area. This is good in the way of sounding not so uplifting, nice dark progressive
The use of sound FXs was one of the keys to make this track what it is.
I think the mix is tight and sounds like you have compressed the Kick, or the kick sample all
ready came like that.
Over all this track stands out of the rest for being not the best Produced but different.

Mehari - Midi III
The start of this track has a real EuroDance feal but disserpers at the 55 sec,
nice melody line at 1:22, good use of the 303. the 4:00 is really well done with some good iders
shining through. some areas sounded a bit empty, maybe it's when you have taken the bassline
out from under your kick, the mix sounded good but it dosen't sound like you have done any
mastering on this track at all. Overall this Track was well done, so good my brother in the room
nexr door came in and asked me the name for it so he cound download it, he listens to a little bit
of Dance music and he thinks out of all the tracks you will get some where in music.

dj alfi - digital dreams
Wow the start is really in your face, I don't like the bassline that much but its different.
the pads really need some work, you have to get them to sound warm and flow together, try a
longer release with the ADSR. The early lead is very different but not to my liking. at 1:19
that key change like that is something you should stay from, its unexpected and doesn't sound
to great at all. The choice of sounds wasn't that great, altho most of the sounds went with
each other only if this track had a different melody line.
