glad i can say I've seen nu nrg live |
why is nu-nrg even being brought up?
did PVD sign them or something
the way AVB did with schulz?
and if nu-nrg IS spinning at this (even tho i have no idea why they would) it would top every party ever
nu-nrg has some BANGING sets that i never get bored of |

I was there as well, he played in at the Guv right?, Ithink the time before that he played at the Wharehouse, before it got the reno to the Koolhaus...
I just moved to Vancouver...and he's not coming out here...Just a heads up...if you have lived in Toronto your whole life and you are thinking about moving to Vancouver. Be forwarned that the scene is very small out here and a "big" set is considered 2 hours...I'm going through withdrawls...sniff...
Although I did see Blank & Jones in a crowd of about a 100 people which was kinda neat :), but the set lasted just under 2 hours...with a 1 song encore included in that time frame...sigh...I miss you Toronto Dance scene... |
He played at Warehouse in February 2001 (see my avatar). Then he played in the Guv mainroom in 2001 in October on a Wednesday for the Guv 5 year. After that he played in 2003 in Koolhaus (via floorwhure's post), then Guv again in 2004 I think (I didn't go, EU).
As for Nu Nrg being signed yeah. They were signed by PvD after he was completely blown away by hearing their track Dreamland. That's why in 01/02 it's the track he played at the end of EVERY set, usually. |

Me too! I moved out to VAN and while it is a breath-taking gorgeous city with lots of outdoor things to do, I only recall 3 clubs that played trance and when a good DJ came tickets were $75+! So I moved back to Toronto! :) The scene is getting better though... I notice Tiesto and Armin have been there a few times in the last 2 years. |

I never complain about prices - especially after paying to go out in Ibiza - but I don't know if its worth that much to me now to see PVD again. |

It is a little steep and I am not a fan.. but I think it would be worth $50 to see Laura be in awe of Van Dyk.
Although.. I think we should pull a roadtrip to NYC instead. :) |
