It's all relative to the size of the venue. He's not getting 30g's every gig

Jesus.

I'ev never really thought in depth about how demanding American and European tours must be for DJs.

Over here there are only five big cities to visit; pinch of compared to that.

No wonder all the DJs love doing Australian tours so much.

Armin gets somewhere round $70,000 for single gigs here, and Daft Punk $100,000.

And what size crowds are they playing for? Especially Daft Punk. Larger crowd = more money. A lot of the clubs people the artists mentioned here are going to be playing at are small clubs. Hell, Justice and Trentemoller are playing Neumos when they're here in Seattle. That's a pretty ing intimate venue, so their income is going to be significantly less than, say, Daft Punk playing an arena.

Armin usually about 3000-5000 people.

Daft Punk will be playing to 15,000.

I think those sums may be in Australian doru though, so more like $45,000 and $65,000 US.

Yeah his tour is pretty hectic. That's part of the reason hes charging so much everywhere. Since he hates flying, hes gonna' do the US all in one bit. :p
llavoe
that tour is too crazy... I am not expecting much from it. There are no breaks for the guy to catch his breath. 28 dates x whatever he is getting paid... I am glad he is cashing in, he deserves it with all his tracks...

Will be going to Pacha in NYC and there is a slim chance I will see him on the terrace of Space. My boy is getting married that day, and he wants to go to that after their reception and prior to their honeymoon. Not sure how the fiancee feels about that, but shes probably game. Also he told me it was being advertised as a 12 hour terrace set... Not sure where he say that or if its true at all.

Can't ing wait to see him here in MTL @ Stereo, been waiting awhile too see him live!
