correct. electrical tape insulates which is the opposite of conducting |

Then how would the electrons created at the power station manage to get into it? |
|

| Because the two wires you are taping together are still conductive. If the tape conducted electricity, you would die if you touched the taped connection. |

How could they? they have insulation in them.... once the battery makes the electrons by chemicals they pass up the conductive plastic of the wire and around the electrical tape... :o
EDIT: To explain further, the human body has resistance in the skin, the electrons (in this case) aren't moving fast enough to breach the skin. Even though they pass through the low permetivity electrical tape. |

I'm just taking the piss lol, sorry was a scary comment at the start then just kept going. For info:
Electrical Tape, doesn't conduct.
Electrons, are not 'made', do not go any 'faster' but are at higher voltage.
Skin, does actually have resistance, and does basically have enough to stop current passing through it at battery voltages.
Was just a bit bored and you never spotted that I was joking the first time. |

| LOL good point but was meaning you don't call it that. :p |

| you have now fuzzified a simple post beyond any meaningful interpretation. :o |

explain? |

| ...just referring to where the posts have moved from the simple comment you made about the man in the video. Now it's all about explanations and meanings and interpretations. fuzzy. |
