hey quick noob question.
is it possible to record a melody on fm8 as a stand alone player?
or do i have to use it as a vst on another program to use that function. |

FM8 should be able to be installed as a stand-alone application, i believe. You should just have to turn on the your midi input source.
(I'm not totally sure about this one as I don't use FM8, but I know you can do this with other NI vsti's.) |

| Akoustic piano can do standalone recording (very basic) so can absynth. FM8 can't really, but you could program notes into the arpegiator to get a similar effect maybe. |
