So yea, I'm guilty of stalking people I'm interested in. And by guilty, I mean even trying to see if they're on Facebook. It's like once I realized I could look them up, I couldn't resist it.

As long as you aren't printing out pictures of them and rubbing them on your genitals, I think you'll be OK.

For the most part, 'stalking' is just the status of whether or not somebody is comfortable with you hanging around, it would seem.

Ok, so it's normal then?

I tend to be hypercritical of myself, and I can't tell when it's rational or not. Usually, others have to tell me.

I'm not really one to say what's normal and what's not.

But if you are simply trying to see what others are up to, and not profiling/monitoring people for hours on end, I don't think it's necessarily unhealthy behaviour. However, I think that if you looked up people, added them as friends and made an attempt at communicating with them, whether you are rejected or not, you'd probably doubt yourself a little less.

However, if somebody rejects you and says something to the effect of "leave me alone you creepy ing stalker!" then you will know it's time to hack them up and play with their parts in your basement full of industrial tools.
