legend? genius? that's an extremely ballsy statement, he couldn't play a good set to save this city! dance floors are packed only for 2 reasons, 1. they are there to hear the headliner not him and 2. most of the others have no friggin clue he is even up there.???

Listen son when your booking the best of the best on a regular basis then you let me know.
Mark stands by all of them and is one of the most respected dj's in the country. Somehow i think the guys at the guv know what there doing, heck its been what 11 years steady of Oliver.

set to save the city huh......... now thats balls.

furthermore ........ I have been fortunate enough to have Mark play for my particular venues over 20 times now, and each time a sell out or pretty close to it, not to mention its usually some stupid off night like a monday or tuesday. And no there's no headliner but him.

And please we in Windsor know plenty about music so don't try that angle either because it wont work.

Marks back again at the end of the month

sounds true to me
I'm yet to hear a decent set from him, and I heard him open for over 5-6 times by now
when he opened with house for Menno it was just ridiculous

I agree, even his set at Skybar opening for Ferry was probably one of the worst things I ever heard. But I've heard worse from a lot other DJ's.

sorry polkraine....but not everyone is there for the headliners...i bet alot of the people there are oblivious to some of the djs that are evn there that night ,and dont even know how popular they are around the world....

its not bad when house is played before a trance set persay...because once the trance comes it makes u happier once u hear the first up tempo beat

meh... i have always liked mark oliver, especially his closing sets. if you heard him headline (i did at sizzle) you can tell he does hold back when he's opening for a headliner at the guv.. but do you really want much more than your shoulders swaying before 1am? lol

and about the house + trance thing, how do they not go hand in hand especially with progressive house being so sick these days? i know a lot of other 'trance' djs arent afraid to play something that they think is good for their set just because it's not the label they're typecast as.. one of PvD's promo mixes from late 2006 has dave spoon - at night as its opening track
