Logic Pro8 (help with bass)?

I am moving from Reason to Logic Pro 8.
So everythin in Logic is totally new to me.
And there are so many sounds (overhelming... :tongue2 ).

I have been trying to re-create some dirty tech bass sounds in Logic.
But the results aren't good at all...

So I would LOVE to get some help about how to get that dirty tech bass with Logic 8?
Or if there is already some preset/sound (I haven't found it yet)... :conf:

If you don't know what I mean, here are 3 samples I made with Reason:

SOmething is still wrong with this sound :sadgreen:

There are several ways to do fat basses, using only Logic standards, here's a few tips:

If using ES1, use both of the two oscillators, also play around with the obvious nobs such as filter, distortion, attack etc. To get a really fast attack, resample the bass and cut the begining of it. You can also use Logics enveloper to get more (or less) punch in the attack. To get that wide bass sound as in one of your first samples, use Logics Sample Delay (just beware of the mono compability).

However, when mastering the ES1 you might wanna concider trying ES2, which has much more possibilities. It also comes with many presets which allows you to study how those basses were created.

And then, ofcourse, comes the FX's, EQ, Compressor, Delay, Sidechain etc. etc. all explained well in the tutorials. Have fun.

Cheers
