Gerard absolutely rippeddd it sikkkkkk. soon as we got there had a few problems (no booth monitors, ty piece of shyt mixer, speakers SUCKED ass, couldnt hear squat, absolutely no bass, & dog shyt on the floor.. no literarly dog was just chillin on the floor haha) but he went with it & nailed it. I was more worried than he was but thats why hes at the point he is.. he doesnt let anything lose his focus & keeps his cool & does the best with what hes got. set was absolutely amazing & he played my jammy "kalopsia"- the blizzard!! sad to say he wasnt on the main floor like he deserved but throughout his entire set EVERYONE was in the side room he was in jammin out.. not a single soul was on the mainfloor. got a lot comin up for G in the next cpl of months to look foward to but great job Gerard & you absolutely deserve it!!

p.s. couldnt stay around for Tae but really looking foward to hearing you spin hopefully soon! :)

you can't run without crawling first. in due time he'll get what he deserves.

btw gerard...if you're interested i can probably hook you up with abelton live 6, that is if you don't already have it.

completely agree with you but he was mainfloor last time. not a big deal really but the guy running the party saw how many people were in the side room rather than the mainfloor so we will see what happens next time ;)

I'm gonna be straight wit you m8 'cos I think you need to be told before your superior attitude puts you in a position where anybody refuses to work with you...

Your mixing is far from being on point,,and the fact that you're proud that you made it through a set with no ups goes to show that you aren't ready to play on a main floor yet..

Anyone,,even me can play records at 140 bpm all night..There was no structure to the set whatsoever...The floor was a million miles away from being full and the people that were there were mostly made up of people that left the upstairs room after Gerard and Tae's sets...

No doubt you have potential but you need to know how to build a set and gain the respect of the people that paid good money to come and see you..ATM your elitist attitude will get you nowhere...

i wasnt there so i def cant say much but anyone who can't appreciate and RECOGNIZE skillz when they are faced with it needs to get their head examined. there is just NOOOO way that Tae's set would go unappreciated. That boy just oozes EXPERIENCE and ORIGINALITY to the NTH!!!~ no doubtz

that post just left me :wtf:

and esp if u intend to keep working and build up your name in this profession, u are supposed to encourage a cooperative atmosphere not one where you try to one-up peers in your field. Seriously!~

i concur with Steven, ANYONE can beat-match 140 bpms if they practice, esp. with technology getting so simplistic these days...everyone and their mother wants to and thinks they can be a dj nowadays. But its really the ones that have innate talent, creativity to break the rules/create their own style of spinning (if not their own work as producers), work ethic, and who know how to network and work well with others -- those are the ones who break out above the rest. The locals have proven that time and time again. just my IMO
