Have you ever been in a pro studio?

Just wondering if you guys have ever been in a serious studio that makes your home setup look fischer-price?
I always hated it when my friends took the extra time and effort to soundproof their room, but the first time I ever felt helpless was when I visited Hydroid. He pulled up my tune and it 'clearly' sounded like shiet;/. Since then I know the importance of spending the extra grand on a proper set of monitors.

| yeah, buddy of mine was a producer at tooth and nail in seattle, wa. I pulled an OLD song of mine up on his machine. Needless to say, it was a humbling experience! |

oh yes. I work in a commercial recording studio.
The most serious studios i've been in are either air studios or abbey road.
And yes my (and I dare say anyone else's on TA) studio is proper fisher price next to them. |

| When I was interning in post production sound design in LA, I use to make runs and sit in on mix sessions on the mix stages at Sony, Warner Bros., and Universal. Talk about the sickest surround sound systems I've ever heard... Plus, their machine rooms were :crazy: |
