Clubs in Glasgow

Getting the boat over this weekend and staying in Glasgow.. been to a few places in Scotland before.. just not Glasgow..
Its my mates 21st and instead of going to see Cor Fijneman, he wants to hit Glasgow, so any club recommendations?
We'll be staying in a travel lodge.

After hunting the internet.. and talking to a guy in work (whos heading to the very same club on the friday night.. ill be heading to it on the saturday night)
We'll be hitting The Arches, for Simon Patterson and Greg Downey :)
Anyone know what kind of crowd would generally go to this club? |

Inside out isnae the greatest. Suppose if your into trance you might enjoy it, but I tend to steer clear as it's full of 16,17,18 year old types. (yes I was young once too). I used to go and it was decent, they used to have a bit more variation to the line ups but now it's all just hammer and tongs hard dance and trance which has never really been my thing..
The friday night at the arches is pressure (a slam night), much better night and richie hawtin is on which should be excellent. Unfortunately it sold out a couple of weeks ago and I didn't get myself a ticket :(
Sub club is the best club in glasgow imo, thats just round the corner from the arches. Music policy is excellent and the crowd is far better than those that go to the arches.
personal opinions tho, I cannae go trance so I'm probably not the best person to ask. There's a fairly new club called clinic which has just opened as well. Not sure if theres anything decent on this weekend tho. |
