sorry if any of you work for them.. i don't mean to offend you in any way...
well my friends dragged me to crobar on friday.... foolish of me...
what happened to this place? was there a reason why i never ever went there?? ok, it's cool... morillo's coming oct 5th... but...
the opening DJ playing things I would only hear from..... i wouldn't hear any dj play these silly songs... first this guy jumps from 50cent to this 'hard rock stuff (the sounds u usually hear from a jukebox in a suburban bar)... then puts in some kind of barbie girl song.... some bubbling beats.... i mean, where was i? oh he was so cool....:whip:
Scooter + lavelle, dj's from Vegas, doing a helluva lot better...finally dropping electronic music... i'm not sure which one's which, but one of the two can really scratch! that was finteresting... but , talk about poptronica.... and then dropping some dr. dre and snoop dizzle .... :-x
the sound system! it sounded flat to me... and the highs were piercing many times during the night... they have to upgrade their sound system....
Other than that, we enjoyed it more or less...after the bartender randomly gave us a couple tokens :rolleyes:
i think i can skip that place next time ;) i wouldn't ever advise anyone to go there......! just thought i'd share my 2 cents |

yeah... was thinkin that today too..
actually... bunch of happened to me lately...
1. cdj broke
2. laptop died after rendering a draft of one of my newest creations...
3. back-up of .rns file is corrupted
4. lost huge portion of samples i've been collecting...
5. still jobless ;) and apartmentless

| I'm not the biggest fan of Crobar either but your first mistake was going on a friday night. They attract a totally different crowd on fridays thats why they play that ty music. They have to do whatever they can to get people in the door and survive just like everyone else. I suggest going back on a saturday when there is a good headliner. They may need to tweak their sound system a little bit but it does'nt get much better than the EAW Avalon. For anyone that is interested Deadmau5 will be there on Dec 22nd!!:eyes: |
