Anybody been to this spot or know what goes on there? Looks like an edm night will be starting up there Thursdays beginning Oct 11th.
Im not sure what to expect, never been to the club, i thought it was one of those upscale trendy spots |

It is quite trendy, but the staff are friendly. Me and Bas played there for our friend's art gallery expose + music. It was fun, it's a very cool spot. Traffic used to throw pool parties there for a while, pics are on rukes site I think.
Who is gonna be doing it and what kind of muzac? |

Its a pretty nice place, great patio.. there is alot of special events there because of the arclight and other theatres.

there are several promoters on board i think, not sure who all of them are. I know the promoter doing the inside room, i believe there is a 2nd promoter doing something on the outside.
i know the inside will be house music from 10-4. Ill be playing the 11th:D |

Fridays and Saturdays are promoted to all Asians.
I've gone on Thursday Nights before (mixed crowd). Generally people like the outdoor area because it is rather nice.
Security is diiiick. They yell at you, and unless your a hot girl (with other hot girlfriends), you'll be waiting inline for a while. Make sure you get on a "real guestlist" not a general one, because the general one will have you waiting inline and letting the "other guestlist" people cut through you. If you don't have a great girl to guy ratio, you'll be waiting forever. Get there by 9:45 the latest!
Then again, I can be wrong. But that's my experience with Thursdays at Cabana.
Few bartenders there I've went to are all cheap or don't know how to make the drink I want. |

Cabana Club used to be Sunset Room. The parking alley got made to what is now Cabana Club.
It isn't the HOT A LIST HOLLYWOOD CROWD venue it once was when it first opened a couple years back. Just like every other venue it once had its day.
I know they tried house music on Friday nights but I'm not sure how that all worked out. Thursday nights used to be the guys who are at LAX now on Thursday nights.
Security and staff aren't that bad, but they aren't the best either. (Compared to the security in Vegas clubs, I love all the security guards in Hollywood!)
Drinks are pretty expensive. Like $14 bucks for top shelf liquor.
It still is a nice and beautiul club. Has plenty of potential if the right promoters get on top of it. The problem with EDM is that not that many people actually get bottle service. It was almost impossible to get a Cabana on a Saturday night when it first opened.
More EDM options are always a plus so good luck to everyone involved with this promotion! |
