Hello i just wanted some opinion of some songs that i have completed and one i havent all on my myspace page.Just a little motivational boost you could say ;)
I been producing music for about 2 years in my bedroom.I started out with sampling from old records with my old tech tables and a few random hardware synths and sequencers.I sold all thatstuff last year and have been using fruity loops ever since.I make all my stuff with fruity loops and its vst's.
Take a listen and tell me what you think. My main influences are Boston,Evil Nine,Aerosmith,The Crystal Method,Electric Sky Church.
Heres the link yo my music

hey sirs
commenting on "in a lifetime"
love the bass, the vocal seems kinda cheesy
the arpeggio doesn't suit the bass and beat, try to beef it up
otherwise it's got a cool retro bass
I hear the crystal meth influence no doubt :P |

Thanks the bass is pretty retro i used the tb303 for it and it sounded crappy i had to eq the crap out of it to get it crisp. The appreg's i was gonna use a appregg generator for but i just did some volume enveloping for that custom rythm.I didnt want to make a high energy track my goal is to kind of get that trance feel with a big beat sound.Yeah i get that crystal method thing alot.I dont know why but it might be becuase i used to use alot of gear before i started using software so i try to get that big sound as much as i can from software and i use alot of distortion and lower frequencies with compression.
I still gotta finish that track tho.I like it becuase its got that deep soul grabbing rythm.Especially when the panning granulation effect from the marracas comes in which i used fruity granulizer for.
More comments always welcome and thanks ;) |
