There are 3 names in LA that I give always give mad props to for their massives and ability to bring big names. (Giant, GoVentures & Insomniac)
Avalon/Avaland/AHP/Spundae - Saturday night/Sunday morning @ Avalon will always be a classic. Is Avalon closing? Isn't it a landmark.
Gotta give Bud Brothers and Traffic Events props for being able to hold house music weeklies on off days. |

We know that Digweed is in LA too for NYE...my guess at Avalon but who knows, maybe another S&D nite.
Avalon may technically not have a 'historical' designation by whomever deems buildings so, but its considered a famous part of old Hollywood and it would be extremely problematic to get the permits to tear it down. i can guarantee you a lot of people would protest - its been there since 1927...
and about MNS - did you ever think that the promoters basically leech off of the Avalon and Giant sat nite bookings to get that talent? most of the big djs that play there would never come just for that 1 nite...not enough $ to justify it. i'm glad it exists but not like they are doing anything special there IMO. |

Yes PVD will be in Brazil and Argentina - Buenos Aires specifically NYE, which I don't really understand. I've spent two NYEs in Buenos Aires and they've sucked! Everyone vacates the city and is at the beach in Punta del Este.
Who the hell is going to play in Vegas?!?! Will there be any of LA's leftovers at 4am??? Maybe Saturday/Sunday before NYE? sheesh..picked a bad year to book Vegas. |
