I'm thinking of leaving Adelaide next year.
The best places for me (career wise) are Perth and Canberra.
I've been to both, I thought Perth was great and Canberra kinda sucked.
In terms of liveability though, what do you think is better?
Canberra is a bit better located, but Perth has a better lifestyle, although isolated....
Also Canberra has more opportunities directly for my field....
I think perth would be a tiny bit cheaper to live in as well?
Any thoughts? |

does weather count? canberra has the worst weather in the entire country!
i would definitely choose perth (tho ive never been) coz i spent 12 years in canberra.
no, perth is much MUCH more expensive to live in, certainly if you're looking at renting. there is a serious rental crisis in perth currently.
fun, beach babes, larger population, great weather- perth
better location, better housing opportunities, more job prospects- canberra.
i have relatives in both, so i can come to visit you in either, so its a win-win for you! :toothless |

Theres your answer, go where you think will help you further your career.
Also I have a friend living in Perth & its not THAT cheap ;)
Look into it more, with costs, etc, think ABOUT YOUR CAREER/future the most.
Good Luck

As you've already stated...
Lifestyle -> Perth
Career -> Canberra
IT comes down to your priorities.
Personally I'd go to Perth. Canberra is a hole. It is, however, within driving distance to Sydney and Melb. |

does adelaide not offer further study in your field? or does it just suck compared to what is offered in perth and canberra? |

| Canberra is possibly one of the most boring and dull places on earth, there are places far more awful than Canberra but at least by being awful, they're at least interesting. |
