Actually it's remarkably similar to how the real world works (some people might even say *gasp* it's exactly the SAME way), but as I wouldn't expect you to even understand how to tie your shoes, I'd hardly expect you to be able to wrap your head around the idea of social norms and graces.
At the end of the day, if you're a gimp who can't hack it - you're going to wind up a failure (whether it be on the internets or in your so-called "real" life).
