Last night at superclub Pacha in Ibiza, Dutch star DJ/Producer Ferry Corsten
was presented the award for Best Trance DJ at the annual DJ Awards ceremony.
Ferry Corsten: ‘ It is great to be presented this award, especially since it
represents the not only the opinion of the industry, but also that of the
crazy clubbers :-). I am very honoured that those who are most important to
the dance scene have chosen me as Best Trance DJ again this year’
Other nominees for Best Trance DJ were Armin van Buuren, Astrix, Infected
Mushroom and Above & Beyond. Besides Best Trance DJ, there were awards for
Best International DJ (David Guetta), Best House DJ (Roger Sanchez) and Best
Breakthrough DJ (Fedde Le Grand) to name a few.
This year the annual DJ Awards in Ibiza were celebrating its tenth
anniversary as one of the world's most prestigious dance music awards.
The DJ Awards were created to recognise the talent, popularity and cultural
significance of the DJ's of today. The DJ Awards show is a celebration of
gratitude to honour the peoples favourite DJ’s in different categories. Some
of the international greats who have been honoured in the past include
Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger
Sanchez, Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Frankie Knuckles and Paul Oakenfold.

i've taken notice to his tracklists posted and yea there may be some trance on there but not entirely. But i'm sure he plays differently in IBIZA if got this award
