if the master meter isnt going over 0.0db then it wont have any clipping. |

that isn't true
alot of vsts will add distotion if the signal being effected is too hot. JUst because your final output is under 0 , it still doesn't meaen you aren't adding artifacts by bad leveling |

Yeah, there are some VSTs that might still clip, there wont be any clipping of the actual mixer channels though. |

surely if a sound is being put into a floating point system then it wont clip? obviously a distorsion vst will add distorsion but this will not clip the mixer channels as already stated.. |
