Very nice chilled mix :) All flowed very smoothly, some wicked tracks in there.
I was suprised that I recognised a few of the tracks (I know nothing about this kind of house/techno!) but there was plenty of stuff that was new to me, which I liked.
My only comment would be about filter abuse - you didn't really go over the top, but I would say it would help if you tried to make your filter use slightly more "appropriate" - use it in build ups or use it in an incoming/outgoing track so that the effect isn't so overruling (if you just apply a filter to one track when two are playing, it can sound a lot more subtle)... also, I take it you're using a Xone:62/92? If for high pass filters you press both the high and band pass filter buttons together (so both lights are lit up), you get a smoother filter curve which can sound a bit richer and more natural... the same goes for low pass (press low pass & band pass together)
Hope this helps. |

Wow... thanks everyone for the comments
And also thanks for the tips Stu... I agree that I sometimes could try using those filters in a more subtle manner like you said... Next time I'll try to use em more fluently! :)
I noticed it myself also, but I wasnt gonna re-record it just for that. Like I said in the first post, there was already a few things I'd change in a new mix. It's always a learning experience
So thanks again!! |

Couldn't really get into this at all. There were a lot of tracks throughout that I enjoyed, but to me it was pretty disjointed. I was thrown off right from the start, the tempo you set with La Forme didn't really blend at all well with the next few tracks. Furthermore, every time I started to get into a track I was hearing it was already mixing out, it almost felt almost like a forced megamix to me.
Hopefully that's not too harsh Glannie, just giving my honest opinion. :) |

I have to agree, although the programming and mixing vastly improved in the second half of the set.
Music-wise this is probably my favourite set from you, Glannie. Awesome tracks throughout |

listened again..
it's good, but the style of music you played is of a type that i'm just not feeling at the moment. reminds me a lot of sasha's essential mix from this year for some reason. will give it another listen in a while. |
