and ya the vids work on youtube, sick tunes and loco vibe
Hi Graham :D |
Open drug use at CZ is nothing compared to what we saw when we were there...It was almost shocking to see so many people just completely messed, but that's what made it special at the same time. I know that sounds stupid, but it was special.
I don't know how many times Graham and I would just turn looking for each other cause we just saw something "special" only to find out he saw the same thing...we would just sort of nod, smile and start to laugh in disbelief of what we were in the middle of. |

Wow, you told me your review was going to be long and detailed but wow. I'm not even going to try and put something like that together.
Graham summed it up perfectly and we pretty much felt the same about everything we saw and did (other than Pacha and the Sander night which I hated, although I was also exhausted and very sleep deprived).
The daytime parties really brought out something special in Ibiza, while a lot of the night time parties felt very much similar to any big city and big party. This was pretty much what I was expecting. I was however looking forward to DC10 and it blew my mind.
NYE I can't do, June is possible. |

Circoloco means Crazy Circus. A very appropriate name for the place. The Circoloco experience is the product of everyone taking part in that extreme for of hedonism. Everyone in the club was a bit off in some way, whether that be because they were wearing strange costumes, were extremely intoxicated, participating in strange antics, going into absolute frenzies losing it to the music, or any combination of the above. It seemed like everything I enjoy about clubbing (antics, costumes, minimal/abstract music, and high excitement) was being taken part in majority (whereas I’m used to only some of these antics taking place in a minority).

Great review Golden Graham! Particularly loving these parts. lol. I can't wait to visit the circus next year. It'll be like my housewarming party. :p

excellent review! i really enjoyed reading it. Im just wondering is Ibiza the same as it was 5 years ago? Alot people say it has changed, and become an expensive tourist attraction. You mentioned broken glass and butts on the beaches... does that go for all the beaches?
I hope it will stay the same until i save enough cash to go there. Also out of curiosity how much cash did you blow? |

Honestly man, it's just different. Why does one place have to be more hardcore than the other. And honestly the 10 hours I spent at DC10 were tame compared to some ing class moments I've had at CZ.
I truely think most of what blew you away (sketch wise) at DC10 really was regular everyday British insanity. These people have partying/getting ed down to a fine art, they've been mastering it for centuries. |

As we passed the searchers, our senses were immediately greeted with the Ibiza party vibe – the vibe that I have reminced about every day since I’ve returned – that was taking place in full force on the Sunset Terraza at only 3pm. |
YES, I know that vibe, and when that terrace is on fire it's like nowhere else on this planet. Those who have seen it (paging sling), know EXACTLY what you're talking about, I feel sorry for those who haven't lol

he pulled a classic Richie move that is a little hard to explain, but makes the crowd lose it every time. He'll play boring, very bassy minimal long enough for you to just start getting frustrated. Then, all of a sudden, he'll throw in the highs of a ripping techno track, and crank the volume, causing the crowd to erupt in a volcano like fashion. He'll then start throwing in crazy samples and sound effects. |
haha yes, the ing "mini techno orchestra's" as I call them. Richie does this trick every ing time and it works so well. Techno layering at it's best... He can usually pull off 2 every hour hahahha, would you say this is accurate? |

| awesome review graham, made me feel like I was there. And WTF is up with this and DC-10 closing after this year? I'm headed there next summer and that was on the short list of 'must-sees'. |
