I fail to see your point.
I wasn't undermining the severity of the situation. I was referring to the following:
- How the accident truly occurred. The newspaper failed to fully mention how it happened. "she was almost killed when her belly-button stud tore through her stomach 'like a bullet' during a car accident."
I am a person of the sciences. How in the hell did it happen? Refer to my first post where I was trying to figure it out {last sentence}
- The accident that occurred to your niece (if it is your niece and you are not some alt) was a freak accident. What if she had steel toe boots on and something heavier than what the boots can handle... fell on her. Well her toes would be cut off from the metal housing in the boot. Would it be appropriate to go around warning people that this could happen? What are the odds it ever would happen again? Again... freak accident. It is the responsibility of the parent to worry and care for their children. I can understand that they want to warn people about the 'danger' but you have to ask yourself... how in the hell did it actually happen, and what are the odds that it would ever happen again?
- And looking at MrJive's post (which I have heard of happening) is t right to warn people about the dangers of seatbelts because it did that? There is a risk with anything in life. Hell the air we breathe can give us cancer. Bacteria in food can kill. Typing causes carpal tunnel syndrome.
