good prog psy producers/labels?

hey everyone,
i'm wondering if anybody can help me out, im looking for some good progressive psy. i found a whole bunch of stuff i like from artists like Antix, Sun Control Species, Perfect Stranger and a lot of stuff under the Iboga label, who else is out there? dont know this genre too well, but love what ive heard so far, and am looking for more.

Beat bizzare, son kite, atmos, etnoscope, srange, vibrasphere, reefer decree, bitmonx, phony orphants, filur, freq, frogacult, flowjob, ticon, tegma, double dragon (one of my favorites, maybe not so "proggish", it's very psychedelic though, and I dont really know what to call it).
That's pretty much the best known prog-psy artists out there, I cba writing anymore artists right now, but if you want any more help I'll try to help you. Got quite a collection of psy, goa, progpsy and psybient.
http://www.discogs.com/release/36111 This cd is pretty awesome, Iboga records and Digital Structures made double cd together, the first cd is original tracks, the second cd is iboga remixing digital structures, and digital structures mixing igoba. All very good tracks, and a wide variety of sounds. |

Scandinavian producers have an extremely refined aesthetic whereas the Germans are more known for pumping grooves... it's interesting how national identity carries over into trance production. Anyhow, I second the recommendation of Digital Structures and Flow. There is an insane amount of progressive psytrance out there these days... you're likely to miss a lot of it if you simply go by label. Find some of the better artists (many of whom are listed already) and see where else they release.
An extremely valuable set of tools for exploring this (and any other) style is the combination of Discogs and a P2P app like Soulseek. I'm not advocating settling for MP3s by any means; but there really is no way to beat the scope of material offered by illicit P2P networks when you're in the "getting to know the genre" phase. Find some stuff you like and then sort out where it can be purchased, either physically or online. Beatport has a decent selection, and you can find a lot of great prog-psy for dirt cheap at Cytopia.org. Additionally, I invite you to scope out my reviews section... progressive psytrance is certainly the top style covered on my site:

| thanks all for the help, really appreciate it, i checked out some of those artists mentioned already, but i know there is much more out there...i knew of Cytopia, which definately helped, and ektoplazm will help as well, thanks for that ! cheers guys and gals, awfully helpful ! |

Great :) I'll warn you though: I play many different kinds of psytrance! If you're only keen on the smooth progressive sounds I suggest you check with me first... ;)
Edit: oh, and check out my proggy mixes... they should lead you to some good quality stuff! |
