Internships are INVALUABLE! If this is a field that anyone truly wants to be in, this is a golden opportunity to learn and to possibly make connections that will last you the rest of your career.
Just as a side note to your post; I was able to turn my Internships in the entertainment biz in to part-time work and eventually, full-time work.
I'm sure that you guys aren't promising anything like that will happen over there necessarily, of course (because no company can), and first and foremost, it should just be appreciated simply for what it is; A GREAT Internship opportunity.
BUT; take it from someone who has been there. This is an experience that you just can't put a price on. Don't think of it is "working for free". Think of it for what it is; Gaining experience and making contacts that you couldn't buy...even if it and they were for sale!
If you want to make music your career, I'd be all over this, fo-shizzle! ;) |
