If the United States attacks Iran for supporting Shia extremists in Iraq and turns a blind eye toward the supporters of Sunni extremism (aka al-Qaeda), doesn't that show at least tacit support for an Iraq dominated by Sunnis? And if so, how is that any different than the system in place before the 2003 invasion?
