Depends how much you love Sasha.
I saw Cosmic Gate & JooF @ webster a couple months back but when I went for Lee last month the sound system and stage set up had changed.
The music for Lee was outright DIRTY and I loved every second of it.
It's nice .. dark... and HUGE!
It's no Pacha.
2nd floor has alot of places to chill and hangout but the sound doesn't travel well up there. |
Oy! you were at webster hall for joof? HA i was on the roof of webster hall at my friend's appt. we were cooking out all that afternoon. his room is on the roof of the building next to webster. small world. |

You wanna rock the glow stix then go ahead. But I think clubs should atleast put a ban on the strings.
I was thinking in my head if that glow stick falls off and hits me in the face I'm jumping on top of that girl and I'm gonna stick her in her face. 2 Seconds later that flung a good 30 ft. |

I'm serious though. Doesn't anyone else think like that??
I'm sure getting knocked in the head full force with a glow stick is pretty painful! |

Ur right, I put a laughing face cause I thought it was funny. lol
And I agree, I get scared too, but I love watching glow sticks on strings.
The only thing that really bothers me about those things is when there are a bunch of people dancing and out of no where someone comes with the strings and forces a circle around them by swinging away.
It's a vibe killer :(

I agree with the reviews already posted. GhB and I got the EZ pass, which allowed us to skip line, but we still had to push our way through the mob gathered in front. The top shelf open bar was definitely worth it though it would've been nice had they specified exactly which bars we could use. They wouldn't honor the bracelet in the main room, but luckily the bartender didn't make us pay since we explained no one told us it wouldn't work there.
Three did a great job opening with a nice consistent build up. Sasha was amazing. It was probably one of the best sets I've heard in years. He wasn't very experimental, and it reminded me of older sets with a dark progressive journey that was smooth as silk. I was dancing and smiling like an e-tard (though I wasn't one). The set was definitely too short though. I think he was done by 4 or 4:30. Spooky came out banging with decent tracks, but it didn't seem like most people were feeling it. The place cleared out pretty fast, and honestly Sasha that night was an impossible act to follow. As Chris said, they didn't have much flow just 'bang bang bang,' which after Sasha's set wasn't impressive.
As a venue, Webster Hall was OK. Definitely better than Pacha, especially if you stick to the main room and upstairs. I thought the sound was decent too. My ears weren't ringing but we also took lots of breaks on upstairs.
Re: the glowsticking Yeah, there were too many people who thought they could do it but couldn't. Years ago there used to be some actual talent to it. Now, it's mostly messed up posers trying to impress an equally messed up girl. |

| something i forgot to mention here was how empty the dance floor was even at its peak moment... i've never seen a big name dj with so much room and then some. |

Webster is usually really really crowded in the front and more space in the back.
But the people came out of nowhere!!!
BarofSoap! You and GHB kick ass. Hope to bump into you soon :D:D:D:D:D |

From upstairs it looked packed during his set. We were actually surprised by how quickly it filled up as soon as he went on. There are lots of places to roam around Webster Hall though, so maybe that's why it didn't seem like everyone was right up against each other. |

| nope, it was only packed in the front - but there was ample space to move about without any trouble on most of the floor |
