as far as his set, i didn't hear the whole thing, but i enjoyed what i did hear. one friend actually said he was boring, but judging by the crowd of people cheering with their hands up about 15 mins before the end, i'd say he was one of the few.
the music was very 'housy', which i liked. it was different, very original, and not something we hear in chicago very often. good stuff.
on a more personal note...

so i owed him a beer from last time, and decided i should return the favor (thanks Nikos for helping out with this). anyway, he was happy to get the heineken, and said that we should share it. AND OMG WE DID AND I HAVE LOCO DICE GERMS NOW OMGOMGOMGOMG. anyway, at the end, i said 'hi'. dice said my phone (sidekick) was 'hip hop' (OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG), and he tried to open it, but then just gave it back and asked me to pop it open again. then lee foss popped his open too, and it was a good time.

p.s. one of the turntables just randomly stopped during the night, but after a minute of silence, things got up to speed in not time. |

i love when DJs have records with them for situations like this - the CDJs went off and within a few seconds he was totally cool - smiled and put a vinyl on.. :) |
