c0r version: friend broke up with his boyfriend and cries all the time and I'm through being sympathetic...
am I a bad person because I just don't care anymore?
Gay people are like primates. So like primates, it's just simple conditioning and reinforcement. He needs to find a replacement to fill in his void, like another dude, or some really good trance music, or a Chipotle chicken burrito.
Don't feel bad for being unsympathetic. I can't stand it when my dude friends obsess over anyone guy or girl. I feel like guys obsess too much when they break-up with someone, whereas chicks have created this mechanistic ritual where they go through all these stages when they break up....
Introducing Jake Benson's guide to typical chick break-up routine:
After chick breaks up with dude boyfriend, she...
-1- sleeps over with chick friend
-2- blabs to friend how she feels
-3- friend blabs back how they feel to relate
-4- does chick stuff with friend to feel better like eat chocolate, watch "scrubs," go clubbing, making out with another chick
-5- shifts feelings of validation over from x-boy to chick friend, thus reacquaints with the bonds of general cliche womanhood like that "ya-ya-sisterhood" movie staring Sandra Bullock...I can't believe I watched that movie
-6- chick feels empowered and optimistic and gets over dude

I can make you gay. In fact, reading this will make you gay. You should change your name from "Marc Summers" to "Summer Clearance."

Um, actually this surprises me. Gay men have the tendancy to not only get over it very quickly, but move on to another guy pretty quick, too.
Was this his first serious relationship? Might 'splain it a little.

not first serious but most meaningful. He cried like someone died last week off and on for a good three or so hours maybe more but I fell asleep...there was a solid hour of crying though, never seen anything like it. Must have been a cleansing process because now he's over it. I got my friend back, yessssssss :)

Yea, no offense to gays, but 99% of them are pervish/slutty. I think it's baggage that comes along with the whole mental disorder thing.

You must hang out at a loooooooooooooot of gay clubs to have met 99% of them.
But while you were just pulling statistics right the out of your ass, it was so kind of you to make sure you left at least that 1% possibility that there are gay couples out there who lead completely normal, stable lives, apart from the ignorant, bigoted criticisms from idiot bastards such as yourself. So kind.
