Kiki - Grant Crew

For anyone who hasn't downloaded or listened to John Digweed's, I think, July 22nd 2007 KISS/transitions mix, here is what I found to be the highlight of the set. A monster track from Kiki called Grant Crew. Sadly digweed playing this song has been the highlight of stuff I've heard from his this year, including Transitions 3 which did not impress me.
Having said that, this song is a radio rip from the set, its decent audio quality, however in the last half you do hear digweed quickly list a couple songs but nothing too intrusive. Download and enjoy this massive track.

Nice one.

Liking Kiki: his remix of Alex Flatner/Stereo's Der Graf, as well as So Easy to Forget.

Wow, so defensive.

It's an opinion...treat it as such. I didn't hear him say "Transitions 3 is ." I heard "I was not impressed."

Now if you want to debate the merits of Transitions 3, maybe start providing some thought-out reasons instead of blanket praise/blanket dismissal.

And what's with the double reply...did you feel the need to drive your point home a second time, Bucke... :tongue3

nope just couldn't remember whether i had already clicked post reply or not so i did it again. then i tried to delete the second reply but apparently the delete button doesn't work. go figure heh.

and for the record, each transitions vol. he has released has been better than the previous one, especially vol. 3 which covers more material, not necessarily new tracks but the highlights of the year in techno and tech house. no to mention if you've seen him live there's absolutely no argument. nuff said. ;)

Diggers has been hit or miss for me. Although the until recently, I was super happy with two of the last three times he played here in SF. One time the music was all over the place but it was just a massive night. The next time, he played a bit darker and almost trancey like and was just mind blind. Then after that I thought he was dull.

But when he was here like a month ago he was f'n mindblowing. He came out banging more than I have heard him bang it out in a long, long, LONG time and the whole place was just going nuts. All the hardcore Digger fans I knew were just like OMFG!

And Transitions 3 reflects the style he played that night. I love it!
