Im not exactly sure what you mean....I know theyre regulations are kinda stiff when it comes to using their software but that's just the name of the game. We've hosted other non-AP remix contests before and will certainly do it again, this is just the way this one worked out.

| i dont get this. so you can only do the remix by using samples and that software? if so, seems a bit limited and stupid if you have no experience with it. also most people use vstis and hardware im guessing thats out of the question. |

Let me clarify, I got this out of the Rules for the contest...
Use any software (you can download a free copy of ACID XPress software at the Website) to create a remix of the Master (the “Contest Submission”). You may create your Contest Submission either solely from the Contest Materials or from third party audio elements either composed and recorded by You, or for which You have acquired all of the applicable rights, or any combination of the above ("Additional Elements"), but please note that, by entering the Contest, You represent and warrant that You have the right to use the Additional Elements and that such use does not infringe upon the rights of any third party. Enter as many Contest Submissions as You want. All Contest Submissions shall become the property of Owner and will not be returned.
Hope this helps..
