just heard a set by Carlos--it was pretty banging! Definitely wouldn't mind hearing him live.
I respect the use of gmail more than i do someone using myspace or facebook as their business home page, ..but that may just be the geek in me talking. |

| if i could clarify on the g-mail subject. the guy has all g-mail stuff sent rite to his BlackBerry so it works out perfectly. He is on top of everything! I mean i don't think Richie Santana questions why he uses G-mail when it comes to his bookings |

offtopic> It doesn't matter to me, and it's seriously off topic, but i guess Chinamon's point is that normally a business would buy a domain name (ie, www.electronicmusic.com) and then simply use a forwarder ([email protected]) to send to a gmail account, to make it more 'commercial' looking. Personally, when i see a gmail address, i have no issues, but if someone is using a hotmail address for business, for some reason the hairs on the back of my neck raise, lol. /offtopic
On topic: Where can we get more of this guy's sets? Love to hear more. |

I assumed it was because of (hersay, mind you from my computer/tech savy conspiricy theory friends) the notion that gmail acknowledges they keep logs of messages. i.e. they save the contents of personal email messages for what reason I don't know, it sounds ridiculous to me but some of my close trusted friends are adamant about this particular myth. (and NO, they are not on drugs or particularly paranoid about 'big brother' in genereal) |

Isn't Peter Bailey on AM Only? |
Not an exclusive contract w them. All International and most US gigs go thru Real Talent Management. |

Carlos has a bomb out with Peter Bailey called "Bring It On". I would love to get my hands on that track.
His remix of Arawak is insane too. He's the only guy really saving tribal, production wise right now. |

whats wrong with gmail? |
The business use of gmail is the same as the use of hotmail and yahoo mail. It's impression.
He may have a couple of names under him, so if he's making a living, then more power to him... The fact is, a personal domain name is more respectable, and does not make one look like one is operating from their mom's basement. It doesn't cost much to have a registered domain name with your own email client with POP that you can have any email reader work with, wether it's your web-based email reader or MS Outlook. It's just more professional. |
