[Review]Giant pres. Sasha & Spooky @ Belo

wow... this was actually only my 2nd time seeing Sasha and that was one of the more impressive acts i've seen before. animated, awesome fx job, great programming and just a blast of a night. energy was there but more so his ability to bring the builds up and down is what did it.
spooky - one of the cooler live act's i've seen before, they actually use a similar set up to my own but had two imac's sync'd in ableton... i think one was programming out the night while the other was fx'ing on the fly.
for all you guys at vanguard tonight -- enjoy, last night was one of the better nights i've seen at belo. |

sick night
i came down from the OC
boris did well to build the night and the Spooky guys continued from there to setup sasha nicely
i saw sasha the last time he was at Belo and i think he did amazing job as the music flowed from the start
might have to go up to LA tonight |

haven't ever seen sasha live so last night was quite special. although he came on a little late, he performed like digweed on steroids. loved the banging hard, sometimes brooding, and dark feel to his set.
was listening to his privilege set from 2002 on the drive home this morning. talk about day and night!

Agree.
Really nice techy set from Sasha. I was right up front and center most of the night. So much fun.
Sasha took us on a ride last night and looked like he was having a great time at it too.
It will be a while before we top that set. |

Missed it because the security guy wanted to be a doosh and didn't let us in due to "dress code" crap...
He needed to go home and go frap frap himself.
Honestly... it's how my buddy and I have walked in all the other nights... lol |

When I was in line the bouncer would not let in a bunch of girls because he claimed they were "too intoxicated."
These were just a bunch of hottie giggly girls out having a good time. Total over the top reaction.
But for their credit the crowd inside was well behaved and positive.
I think they pulled the attitude because the club was close to capacity and they could.
That just sucks though.
btw got my after hours waters no problema. |
