| If you jumped to 22" (at least wide screen) it is equivalent to having to full size sheets of paper side by side on the screen. Very useful. But I am still of the old methodology... the more the better. I have a 22" wide screen and a secondary 19" standard width lcd |

Ya, from 1072 to 1280 or whatever. I dunno.
I'd make the comparison with books. Books come in different sizes but reading a novel has a sweet spot in the size you find most novels in. For me it seems that 1024 on a 17in was the sweet spot for browsing the net. |

| I made the same leap about a year ago but I had a tube monitor so the addeddesk space was a nice addition. |
