i'm about to dl it. i just read the list of changes and they sound amazing. they're things i've pondered about in the past... and they've all come true. ie:
- Changed the way "kevlar" and "kevlar/helmet" work using the buy menus...made them work together
- Added a sound when "kevlar" and "kevlar/helmet" are purchased
- Adjusted player jumping values to minimize bunny hopping
- Speaking players flash in team members' radars
- Dead bodies remain on the ground for the entire round
- Dropped bomb blinks red in Terrorist team's radar
- Changed so only Terrorists are notified when the bomb is dropped or picked up
- Changed so players must stand still when planting the bomb (including no jumping)
- Changed so players can't move or shoot while defusing the bomb
- Adjusted pistol accuracy while jumping (all pistols)
so sweet. can't wait to play the new maps added too. |

| Can I get a link to a site that has 1.4 up for download...the only one I can find is Fileplanet and that's a in 300 minute wait!:eek: |

| the sites i tried are all BS too. what i finally did was went into counter strike manually, tried to get into a server, then let CS update for me ... it'll open a program in windows, and just keep trying to dl from servers that don't have a * beside them... took me about 10 tries before i final;ly found a server (in south america) that i dl'd from rather fast.... hope this helps. |

these changes are total crap.. i mean, i cannot evade some bullets while planting?!? wth!!!!
there is some other stuff that is BS too.. sorry i don't think i will like all of these changes.. oh well :( |

| OMG, i just played a few rounds and I do think it's ghey too. not used to it at all, didn't think i'd be that disoriented. my best round was 17-9, the others were ghey, we even hada hacker in one round that played entire round bs'ing until admin kicked him, hate that. i really miss 1.3, the changes sound good but i guess it's a comfort thing, wtf. |

i like the new way to see through a players eyes when u dead. AWESOME. but the jumping thing SUCKS. i try to jump and it seems to actually stop me in mid air. preventing me to dodge bullets. i also been getting bugs/errors. any of you get these : alot of servers have error messages on them(mabey because they arent upgraded yet?), when i leave a game and leave the net games to get to main option screen, the text dosent appear making me have to CTL ALT DEL. and after i do that i try to run it again and get windows illegal operation screen until i restart the comp. ive also been having more lag entering into games.
man updates suck, i ALWAYS have problems with every update on CS. also what are the new maps? NO one really plays my fav map, De_Eagle5. :( |

| the new maps are sweet, besidess being visually stunning they make for fun gameplay. I've played about 4 rounds of de_chateau(sic?) and it's really fun, there's a short bomb site rush for both sides and the multi level action is phenomenal, it's harder to hold the bomb site but funner. Havana i've only played once and it looked sweet but is a bit confusing compared to chateau, i'll have to play a few more rounds on it before i can really comment on it, chateau owns tho. |

hehe, yeah i'm looking forward to d/ling cs1.4
sounds like the updates are a bit of a pain tho...i'll just have to wait 'n see
...major pity to hear hackers already got to it, tho i admit i haven't had much of a problem with them on local servers...actually i've been managing a fair bit of bs myself lately :D:D:D
hmm...will have to wait until the next lan to see just how upto scratch i am :):):)

| The mod is anoying in a few ways, they have changed way to much, Terrorists cant move hostages & u slow down when u jump :whip: and it messed up my skins :( i will still play it, just gonna take a while to get used to. :) |

| i really dislike this new jumping stuff. they should have made it two jumps and then you slow down, instead of one. because now everyone seems to have trouble just jumping on top of boxes etc. |
