...forgot all about Soulseek, I guess I'll go snooping around.

Even better: Go to clubs. Talk to people. Ask them what they're into. Trainspot the DJs records

Or you could simply look at charts that they've posted with their favorite new tracks!! Wow!!

Ishkur, the original poster asked where he could find charts. If you're not willing to help him with this why don't you STFU? There's absolutely nothing wrong with looking at charts to discover new music.

I suggest digging deep into sites like beatport, juno, audiojelly. I mean, really diggin deep into the recent releases (or not so recent) independent of if they make the charts or not. I've discovered some real gems that way.

I can't seem to find a decent trance/house/electro chart anywhere?
So does anyone here know any good charts of the latest tracks?
Thanks!

Why don't you try this thread here

it lists people's personal top 10 tracks of the moment. once you get to know certain people's preferences, you can use their top 10 to get to know new music that also fits your taste in music.

DJ charts are good if you like the music a particular DJ plays. Finding music doesn't have to be about digging up obscure stuff nobody else knows about. If you know a DJ has a sound or tastes that fit in with you, then charts are a good source of music you might like.

To answer your question, you can find DJ charts in music magazines and often on the DJ's website, as well as on some dance music websites. Beatport are a good example of the latter. Mixmag have two pages filled with charts and they change the DJs every month so you get a good mix of names and genres.

Bingo Sukhoi29SU! Well, all i wanted was links to trance/house/electro charts. No offense 'Ishkur' but it seems kinda harsh for you to judge/criticize my taste in music purely because i asked where i could find trance charts. Quite contradicting though, this is 'www.tranceaddict.com' and although there are lots of sub-genres under Trance, it shows that you like 'Trance' music also. And if i likely don't have very interesting taste in music, your implying that you don't either(i'm joking.haha). I do however appreciate your help & the suggestions you gave. I will go exploring or 'digging'(as you may call it.digging sounds so dramatic.lol!) at the links you gave. Thanks

One more thing, i'm not really familiar with record labels. When it comes to record labels, my knowledge of record labels are limited i must say. I'm not quite sure about one thing though, as far as i know record labels usually have artistes of different genres signed under it right? Inadvertently that means, artistes that are signed under the same record label as my favourite artiste(s) might not be of the same genre right? Or am i wrong?:conf:

Now i have more that enough charts to keep me occupied for quite some time now! THANKS EVERYONE!:happy2:

When Bush and the other world leaders pass the 48-hour day rule, i may just have time for Ishkur's suggestions above.
