Alex, Erika, John and myself made our entrance at 3:00 AM and were greeted by some very nice, driving/proggy/tech House from Dana. Immediately I got into the flow, dancing, looking at the crowd. I saw mostly smiles and happy people. Very nice set indeed by Dana... Kept me in the groove until Pryda came on at 5-ish, the crowd went APE!..He began dropping some dark, hard beats and kept it that way the entiiire night, he didn't even give us time to catch our breath!. After reading some bad reviews on TOTA and Ottawank, I was a tad worried, but I was SURE, for some reason that he was saving "IT" for us, Stereo...(everything and everyone sounds better at Stereo muhahaha)..

I forgot to call beforehand to get my ass on the guestlist or/ reduced guestlist, so I had to caugh up the full 50$. (eek), I didn't really mind though...it was Pryda after all!..and let me tell you, it was worth every red penny. AAAAHHHHHH...I DIE!!!!
Me, Tony and Stefano got SERVED when Eric dropped "Muryani", love that track. My dancing shoes took a serious beating tonight!

The night was PURE magic, beautiful vibe, good friends, amazing beats, and just all-around an epic event at the temple...

Prydz was VERY focused while spinning (Diggerz attitude), SICK track selection and flawless mixing overall... Got to meet him and exchanged a few words with him after his set, he seems to be a very nice guy, as opposed to the impression he gave the TO peeps at the GUV, he didn't seem snobby at all...said that he enjoyed playing for us and he totally dug the Stereo sound system (Sweet!).:gsmile:

Also got to meet Gabriel from Gab & Dresden, he came to Stereo after Black & Blue. Charming fellow. Expressed his desire to play at ((()))) one day. Someone book them plz. :)

As always, t'was a delight sharing the dancefloor with "the usual suspects", Sean, Maher & Erika, Stefano & Sylvie, Alex, Darv, John, DJ Nacht (nice to finally meet you =)) etc... you know who you are.

Selma is VERY happy.
PRYDA!!!!!!!! :gsmile:
Alex
Erika put it best.

AMAZING MUSIC, HARD MOFO TUNES, DARK AT TIMES TOO, OMGYAY

But the party really blew, poor turnout.

The music he played had way too much energy to fall on such "deaf" ears.
Alex
OK OK

My first post was too harsh, I'll admit.

The truth is, I had a GREAT time, personally that is. And it was great seeing all my friends there, John man, its been a while, I'm totally coming to check out your restaurant.

For me the experience was intense, but at the same time I'm not blind, and I could tell/foresee just how much better the party could have been had the place been packed to the roof full of screaming Prydz fans. I guess that's just something I was hoping for in this case, was for the atmosphere to rival the music.
muffinass
:D glad he didn't disappoint in montreal.

btw, does anyone know if any of his sets so far have been recorded? not sure how it usually works w/ sets played at Guv and Stereo (or in general for that matter).

tracklist at least?
Hasneez
tracklist anyone?

god damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

ok so dana is a madman. what a great fkn set dude, he went from warm, attitude-infused, sexy, deep tech house to more banging, proggish beats; then returned to his warmth towards the end-ish of his set. He layed down some nice tracks, a couple of which I recognized...Mixing isn't the absolute "omg-u're-the-tightest-mixer-ever" greatest but hey, the tracks were slamming and the dancefloor was moving.

eric gets on 5am and ya, i'll save the extended words for something else. all i gots to say is (once again) GOD DAMNNNNNNNNN!!! he defo saved his for MTL as i suspected he would. numbers were not so good at all last night but B&B going down at the Big 0 contributed to that...again tho, mixing was not the tightest ever but there were lots of considerate mixes going down thus I was happy. track selection track selection track selection!!! I was screaming waaaaaay too much to even hear Alex help me ID ch00ns on the floor  Lots of his own tracks went downnnnn (which was expected, and on my end, even anticipated) and a good amount from other top-notch producers as well. So reserved (in & out of that booth wasting no time), calm, cool, collected. The type of DJ you wouldn't even wanna bother striking up a convo with. Yeah, even Diggers-ish...ummmm what else? oh ya! im really sad he didnt play armed :( i know it wouldn't have fit into the set that well but STILL. hrumph :whip:

:p

all in all, yes it would have been better to have had like, ALOT more people in that room but whatever, when it comes down to it i'm super duper happy i went. one of the best sets of the year in terms of pure booty shaking, dance-fking-floor material. in short, party/vibe was meh and the music was straight up slamming, banging, thick...the way i like it :toocool:

thank youuuuuuuu to those responsible for brigning him :gsmile: <3
cheers to those i partied with
no more parties for a whiiiiiiile please :(:nervous:

Re-posting from the other thread.

Personally speaking, I ing loved every last track he dropped. It was a perfect set for my musical tastes. I executed my strategy perfectly for this, getting drunk Saturday night and sleeping til 2:30pm on Sunday, heading to work, having a nice Thanksgiving dinner at the brazilian steakhouse, and then passing the out with clogged arteries at around midnight for a few hours. Woke up, had a screwdriver, a vodka redbull and a gin & tonic, headed to Stereo, and had more energy than I've had any morning there in recent memory. Didn't leave the dancefloor for a minute the entire time.

I can see how his set wasn't for everyone, but man, for me, 10/10. I love Stereo so much and thought Prydz was superb. I could definitely tell that Erika agreed with my sentiment, esp when he dropped Proper Education (man did that ever rape on Stereo's system). Anton's first track was wicked but unfortunately I had to head out.

Great seeing my favourite usual suspects at Stereo: Erika, Maher, Selma, Alex, cracked out hos, and shirtless guys that weren't ripped enough to warrant being shirtless.

And ya seriously, no more parties for a while please. At this rate I'm not going to be alive by the time my flight takes off for Europe at the end of the month.

Ah who am I kidding, see you at Radio Slave on Thursday =P

Yeah Anton was really good. Played some very nice tracks. I didn't even know he was gonna play. I actually confused him with Prydz when I saw him from behind the booth cuz I only saw him from the back and they were both wearing caps + it was dark. I thought it was Eric and asked him for an autograph until he looked at me and realized it was Anton and I felt so dumb. :stongue:.. I see him like every week-end. :p

Alex
Prydz is so damn inconspicuous, I figured he'd be wearing a PRYDA T-Shirt, CALL ON ME hat and track pants with Cirez D written on the ass cheeks.

But ya, the guy seemed pretty humble, which is cool eye em oh.

After going to Cox two nights before i wasn't up for going to see prydz but i just had to.....

Dana threw a sick set, everyone enjoyed it very much, nice progressive house to get warmed up is always very good.....had some sick tunes that i wanted to go ask for the names, very good dj to say the least...

Prydz came on and he really surprised me, i thought he was going to be ass but i knew he was saving the dirt for stereo.....vibe of the party wasn't the best with not alot of people being there (B&B, ty weather, cox 2 nights before) still i really enjoyed his set, esp when he went on a rampage and played alot of his productions in the middle of the set (played Muranyi and Europa back to back :tongue2)

regardless had alot of fun, pretty much left after he finished, way to tired, the man should really have preformed infront of a packed house....too bad for him, he should get re booked in the future....

Songs i remember he dropped off the top of my head....:

Eric Prydz vs. Pink Floyd - Proper Education (Club Mix)
Pryda - Europa
Pryda - Muranyi
Deadmau5 - Arguru
Swoop - Black Market (Butch Remix)
Cirez D - Beebop or Cirez D - Horizons
Pryda - Madderferrys or Pryda - Ironman
Plastickman - Spastik (? Remix)

Nice seeing the usual crowd.....im out of commission till Christmas!
