A Question i've had about GTA ever since ive had it.

Aite i have a Voodoo 16meg Banshee and i still cant use the 3dFX mode in the original GTA... any suggestions on how to get it to work?

voodoo banshee was a really weird card, since it was not really a 3dfx manufatured product.. the problem is on the driver side i would guess. From what i remember (yes, it has been A LOOONG time since the banshee came out) there was always issues with glide games not working well on the banshee. I really do not remember a fix or anything, since i had never bought a banshee, but i suggest to try and search on some hardware websites, like www.hardocp.com and www.ve3d.com or try google as well...
maybe use a search phrase like:
voodoo banshee glide
that should bring up some info, i hope..good luck mate :) |

hmm...i had a creative banshee running under win95
gta ran fine afaik...only thing i can think of is checking for the latest drivers
...quite a robust little card imo...it's still running in my server computer at home & no problems running at like 60°C 24/7 :D:D:D
dunno how different the voodoo one is...i take it the chip is the same tho

Thanks fellas, i'll check it out.. One problemo with the drivers is that isnt 3dfx dead nowadays?

that is true, but you might still be able to find _OLD_ website that might still have a local copy |
