First clockwise.
But then I tried turning my head sideways and looking at it for a second or two. Then look the the lower left corner of monitor, then focusing on the illusion again: counter clockwise.
Really nice illusion :) |

clockwise for me at first impression.
Once i looked @ the shadow for 2 seconds and resumed looking @ the statue it was counter.
repeating the shadow step, turns it again.
