Probably old news here, but I've just watched this video and WOW, the fact you can chain different parts of synths together = endless possibilities.

as html isn't allowed in here, the video is at bottom of this page

That looks so freaking nice. Price is insane though.

yeah this is tight, i pass my virus to my moog voyager all the time so i can use moog's filters on my virus sounds :)

Jesus. They should not be charging that much money for a digital synth. :( I dont care that its modular. A bunch of softsynth emus in a metal box for 2300 euro? You can get a Jomox Sunsyn for not much more and thats an analogue polysynth. A nice sounding one too.

Yeah I've seen this, it looks great but the price is too much. Hopefully in a year or two it will come down to something reasonable.

prices will probably always be high on this; arturia won't have the economy of scale to produce them cheaply.

:p

only difference is, no one has made the virus ti in software yet.

virus vst for powercore. Well virs b which is good enough.

You don't think they would just re use code they've already designed for their vsts ?

sure, they'll use their algos. they could have done it in software only and add a controller.. but well it's arturia

imho all their pure OSCs sounds very similiar in every emulation anyway :P so i don't see the point in this really ;)
