yeah im fine overall. it hurts to open my mouth much but im not in debilitating pain. we will see how I am in the morning.

whyd you have gum surgery?

My orthodontist suggested doing it when I got my braces off because my gums had grown quite a bit while they were on.

I dont regret having it done, my teeth are gorgeous now, but it was a really painful thing to deal with (plus, they didnt put me to sleep for the surgery itself).

I call bull on wisdom teeth.

My dentist has been telling me for two years now that I need them taken out and every time I say "yeah, I'll do it next time I see you".

I haven't had any problems...

yet.

I've heard it's better to get it done under local anesthetic rather than general, as they are more careful with your jaw when you're watching, and also because a local is more gentle on your body. Can anyone confirm?

lol i got knocked out and the chock that was between my teeth is what caused almost all of my pain. my jaw muscles being held open caused them to be stiff and bruised. other than that though the pain is quite tolerable.

Will, they didnt prescribe any pain meds afterwards. I seem to have been plagued all my life with doctors that feared I would become an addict.

LAWLS i never get meds in general cause i try not to have to take them. and then i dont go to the doctor/dentist enough for them to even know who i am. when i was like 14 they MADE me come in just for a checkup cause i hadnt been sick or needed to go to the doctor within the first year of benefits enrollment. this was just to get a baseline of myself. i seriously rarely go to the doctor.

flymo-meek
I got three of the bastards coming through atm. I'd heard the pain would be really bad but its not been too harsh. Although first thing in the morning is a ****. Nothing a bit of codiene doesnt fix though.

Hard as too get a dentist in this country so just gotta put up with it till it subsides.
