you guys know i wouldn't post this unless i was really stuck... and well, i'm really stuck lol. been about 2 hrs of me trying to recreate this and not even getting close.
i know he's just playing with the wet/dry knob of a reverb unit and playing with the room size/decay but everything i try sounds so half assed. he's sending the entire bass bus to a reverb send and/or playing with the wet dry amount on a reverb unit but still can't get close.
someone clear my head here.

edit: is there a filter'd delay that the feedback increases on as the notes get higher? |

It sounds like the higher the filter cutoff, the higher the reverb level, the higher the delay level, as well as the higher the feedback on the delay. I'm going to automate all those together real quick.
with... the reverb growing slowly over several bars. |

| i don't think there's a delay involved. i'm almost sure the whole thing is about setting the proper predelay on the reverb. |

yeh.... higher the filter cutoff, the higher the reverb level, as 3F05Q stated... And it sounds a little like a sidechained reverb on the endings aswell. You can here that some whitenoise is sidechained there also.. at the start of each buildup...
I also think you just need to set the proper predelay on the reverb to get the delay effect, as thecYrus said. |

yup. theres a short delay with lowcut.
also a reverb with no filtering at all.
seems that both effects increase abit as the sequence rises.
try to automate the dry/wet amount and the lenght of reverb.
also try to automate the dry/wet amount of delay abit.
that should be everything i think.
oh i see this has been posted before so you can take it as you want. |

i would use 2 reverbs and some added delay to do this..
first reverb being the one on the synth or some sorth of FX like ambience.. probably add some pre-dly to it give it that benny b effect and auto mate the high cut from 10% to 100% and also reduce the dry close to the end a bit
second reverb being some sorth of wide reverb to give it that space and i would automate that from 0% to 100%
and then add some delay using automation and maybe some added white noise close to the end and some filtering in the beginning and there you have it..
(keep in mind you gatta stereoenhance the sound and pan all the reverbs and delays) |

Try automating the the send to the reverb and to the delay on the higher notes?
Also automating the Filter cuttoff and the env amount..
Edit:
I just got the Same effect, I just can't get the same reverb tone he has. I need to get |
