George Acosta & Edgar V @ Space 11-13-07 review + pics + vids

It's almost 8 a.m. :wtf: What a very long but absolutely memorable night at the Miami supercenter.

er club

So I didn't ride out to Space alone as originally planned. I wound up going with one of my fav. party crews: DJ Eddie G and his brother. As we approached Space from 395, I saw a crowd outside it from just before the exit to downtown. I thought I was hallucinating :wtf: But sure enough, when we rode down 11th street, there was a mob and line like I hadn't seen since PVD or Tiesto (when Tijs used to play at Space, I mean of course.) It took us like 30-45 minutes just to get in. In the years I'd gone to Space (old or new) I can't recall the last time it took me so long to get in. Inside, Edgar V was already laying it down with one of the hardest (albeit LOW bpm) house sets I ever heard. Nearing the end of his set, the V man threw a couple of tracks which were surprisingly trancey. The music wasn't my thing but his mixing and transitions were on point, every time. Only thing that went kinda BBQ was one of his tracks skipped. That is the worst when it happens, it's even happened to me at Blue (and at house parties too  :whip: )Whatever, he kept the flow going strong until George Acosta came on.

His manager/agent Frank introduced him and the crowd went nuts, and rightfully so. I've seen George maybe a dozen times, give or take a time or two, but this was easily the absolute best set I ever heard him play; far outdoing his own work at Spirits, and an EXTENDED set too. Nothing but energy and banging, nasty . Below is a partial tracklist:

Children
Venus
Beautiful
Airwave (? remix)
King of my Castle (DAD SAYS HE SHOULDN'T PLAY THIS!)
gareth emery - more than anything
vincent de moor - fly away
Three drives on a vinyl - greece 2000

I made 3 requests, and he played them ALL

PVD - Far Away :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:
George Acosta ft. Truth - The Other Side (Signalrunners remix)
George Acosta ft. Truth - Trust (NEW SONG!!!!)

And he even played one song I didn't expect but was very very happy to have heard:

PVD vs Probspot - Another Sunday :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop:

OMG I went insane when Far Away came on again....and THIS time, I got video of it, as well as several other videos, all in super high quality. Lots of pics too. And something else highly unusual (BUT GOOD) about this night...

It wasn't your usual glorified cockfest. Oh NO. There were girls everywhere, and smokin' ass HOT. DE PINGA! Not to mention I think a few pingas were made very happy too :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I missed out on the summer party with George and Edgar, but I vowed NOT to miss this one, and am I ever glad I didn't. Sickness, through and through. Since I was in the DJ booth virtually the whole night, I didn't see anyone except Spacemasters....

All in all a very, VERY good night....a resounding success.

Pics and videos later today.

SALUD.

Filters?

And yeah, same here. Left Space with ears ringing. I thought that by being in the booth it would be considerably less loud but I guess George likes having the monitor cranked to the max. Not to mention the A/C is fa-reezing in there too. I think that just gave me a cold all over again.

Youtube is being stupid so I'm having trouble uploading the videos I shot. Piece of .
