Wow. Easily the dumbest thing I've ever read on this forum. Phenomenal.

OK there buddy. I'm well aware that people have experimented with cocaine for hundreds of years, but it did not become a popular recreational drug in the USA until the 1970s. Today almost 1 in 10 people have done coke by the time they graduate (or drop out of) high school. 50 years ago it was not even 1 in 100.

But surely if it was such a dumb comment, you have some sort of counterargument. I assume. I mean, you wouldn't just refer to something as stupid without having any information of your own, would you?

yeah totally

Do people still care about what LL is up to? Seriously?

That said, I miss this Lindsay:

*sigh* ...such a waste.

I've only now gone back and read through the whole thread and, in the true spirit of procrastinating, I shall now express an opinion.

Yes, Lindsay Lohan is a ing train wreck. Old news.

However, how can she (and this applies in part to Britney as well) ever have stood a chance? Imagine yourself at age 16-18. Imagine if you didn't have to go to school, had millions of dollars, were a lauded celebrity who's stock was rising and add to that the scene in LA and all that comes with it. Remember when you started clubbing? Imaging if you could roll up in your 'benz, get VIP access and do pretty much whatever you want with no budget. Yeah, I'd be in trouble, too.

Now, why am I not in trouble? Because my parents and environment have instilled in me a good core value set. Dina (LL's mom) is apparently out living the life as well, even if vicariously through her daughter. Where is the parental guidance? Where are her accountants? Who is looking out for this girl and helping her grow into a woman? How can she ever be expected to be well-adjusted? She has grown up a rich, famous piece of ass in a world that not only encourages, but is solely dependent on being false and rewards shallow, unhealthy body images. If nobody ever says no to you, then what? If you had cameras in your face, bedroom window and chasing you down the street you'd be a little ed, too. Can you imagine if all the times you came home from thee club or wherever when you were wasted were neatly printed, embellished with a barely credible article and stuck in every newstand? People would think you're a sketchbag for sure.

I accept that we all make decisions and have to live with them, but when you've never had to make decisions for yourself and never had any guidance on how to think through, you can't fault her for dropping the ball. You can't let millionare teenagers run loose and then act all shocked when they get in trouble. Piss-poor teenagers get in trouble, too, they just get busted for shoplifting and mischeif instead of draining the profits from Mean Girls to feed a chemical drug habit.

I'll ask again, how is it that nobody caught on before she went broke? Who is looking out for her? Britney is getting a life lesson now, maybe LL can learn from a negative example since she's never had a positive one.

Lindsay, I have always loved you. Eat a Big Mac and come back to me.
