It's a fair question to ask. I've often thought the same about other producers.

But, you could imitate his studio 100% and still not sound anything like him. You could also sound a lot like him using totally different kit. It's all about talent and ideas, not necessarily what synths you're using.

Try Imposcar and Pro-53 you can get almost identical results to Prydz synths with these ones.

I know for a fact that in his home studio Eric only has a Mac Pro with a simple usb midi controller. Most of his tracks nowadays are made on the way to gigs with his MacBook Pro as well. Logic is his DAW, and almost all of his sounds are made with the standard Logic softsynths. He does do the mixdown himself, but also sends it to the mastering house that Blake Jarrell has already linked us to.

There ya' go. :p

Future music has an article on steve angello plsu an awesome hour long video of him in his studio. So good it's not funny, although i've never seen the J00f one which i really want to see.

Angellos kit is bascially just logic, mackie big knob, midi keyboard and a virus C / ti???

In the DVD he said he used predator, massive, auturia jupiter clone, es2 (?), some live drum vsti with name something like zbd(?) and the ms-20 legacy thing.

Well, anyone could recreate any of his synths with software? For example, Pryda - Rymd synth?

I think his layering is awesome.

Cheers.

That's really what makes everything sound great. His mastering house is one of the best in the world, but coupled with his layering and frequency knowledge...

I refuse to believe this. This guy has made enough money to buy some gear.. plus the Moog shirt...
