That was my first instinct. It's WND though - they take any liberal political move and respond to it with bat crazy ultra-right rants. Sadly, it's par for the course. |

Sort of. Of course there's an extreme religious right that believes them word for word, but their numbers are vanishingly small, and almost all conservatives tend to view that site as a National Enquirer of sorts. It draws attention to real issues, but the editorialism is intentionally over-the-top (or at least I think it's intentional). Like the "God hates fags" videos, it's just too silly for most people to take seriously.
What concerns me far more is the tripe you can see thrown up by the peanut gallery on dKos or DU or LGF. Or the mind-numbing conspiracy theories of the Loose Change truthers and GNN. WND is like HuffPo - the people who actually read it for anything other than entertainment value are generally harmless misfits, and very few in number. |

Living in Sacramento and working with the politicians that make such crazy bills has made me lose a lot of faith in the political process of both California and the United States. These wacky bills come about due the extreme left/right wing interest groups that feed money and votes into the politicians that write the bills. Of course this is nothing new, but it seems California has a way of making this process a circus and causing other countries to look at us like :wtf:
 |
