hey I know these two mixers have been analyzed before and both are highly recommended but I'm about to pick up 2 800 mk2's and was wondering which mixer to get. It's between these two and I can't decide. has anyone had experience playing on both to help differentiate a little?

is there any particular reason why the vestax over the numark?, my buddy has a dxm and you get raelly good bang for the buck but i havent had the chance to spin on the vestax so im curious about advantages of goin that route over the numark

i have a personal preference against numark because i always link them with something uber-cheap

my vestax feels very solid and sturdy its all metal, the knobs and faders are very sturdy and the sound quality is top notch.. sure its no a&h or pio but its still nice.. comparing the two you get 3channels over 2 and longer faders on the vestax.. not sure what genre you plan on mixing but its always good to have more control

My friend used to own a pcv 275.. From what i heard, the sound quality on the pcv 275's aren't too great. I was told that it has a
drony bass, which i would imagine to be pretty annoying.

I've heard some good things about the dxm's on this forum, tho. There were many recommandations for it within that price range.

I would highly recommand the Ecler NUO's. I own a NUO4 and love it, although I'm looking to sell it for an upgrade.
NUO2's, which is a 2 channel mixer, runs for about $369.

If you're leaning towards Vestax, get the vmc 004xl. It's a great mixer for the price. You can pick one up for $299

I loved my DXM06 and only got rid of it because I needed more channels. Then again I've never tried a Vestax product so I can't really say anything against them either.

Does the 275 have effects?

thanks for all the replies, i think the nuo2 is a little outta my price range at the moment. I was gonna get either one of these two to begin with and once that crapped out or I started to grow out of it then i'd upgrade to probably a denon dnx-1500.

right now im back at square one with the vestax lol, iv heard that its hard to get a pcv to last longer than a year.. although it does look more sturdy than the dxm which kinda looks like a toy sometimes so far im leaning toward the numark. my only real beef with the dxm is the fader glide is way to quick n smooth, wish there was a little more tension in there

Why not get a VMC-004 (regular.. diff between xl and reg is the XLR ports)
i got mine for $160 shipped on ebay

if not a 004, you can get a 002 since you dont seem to care about needing the extra chans

I have a DXM06 and I love it. The effects are really nice, the EQs are solid, and the mixer sounds good. The only thing that might prevent me from recommending the mixer are that:

A) There are no XLR ports. This could be a problem depending on where you are going to use the mixer

B) The crossfader isn't the greatest thing I've worked with. Because I use the upfaders to mix I don't have a problem with it, but if you plan on doing scratching then you're gonna want a mixer with a better crossfader.

I've had my DMX-06 for 3yrs now, and I love it :) But you can never go wrong with vestax either. Really like the effects on the DXM-06 tho :)
